I down load high resolution stereo ( side by side ) tiff files from USA government web site. The Library of Congress web site. I think you are allowed to use the photos provided you are not making a profit from them.

I usually have to do a lot of cleaning up work on the photos ( clone-out black spots and scratches etc ) and repairs parts which may be missing at the edges due to damage. These are digital copies of the original glass plate photos. I re-align and crop the images in StereoPhotoMaker.
