It seems that not many companies have thought of 3d capabilites. Too bad!
Those super cheap gopro clones like xiaomi yi and sjcam could make a decent pocketable 3d camera if you could sync them with a usb cable. Some guy in a forum said you can trigger two xiaomis with a phone app via wifi but i dont think the sync will be very good. I could take a chance, buy a couple and try to rewire the shutter buttons. I am no electronics expert but how hard can it be to make a common shutter?
Thanks! I'll try to post some photos of the camera rig tonight. I can vary the interaxial, and carry the rig slung over my back. I have a similar rig for my DSLRs. https://www.flickr.com/photos/kiefer3d/15276300208/ The Garmin Virb has the ability to be controlled via a remote control, but the lag is horrendous. For now, I just press the buttons at the same time. It's better than cha-cha, but not by much. I've been meaning to write to Garmin and see if any of their techs know how to wire the cameras together, or if it's possible to write a firmware upgrade that can improve the sync.
Thats a great shot with amazing depth!
Can you share some info on your garmin rig. I was searching for two small action cameras for 3d but most are not syncable. Now looking towards a twin canon s95 rig.
