I'm a 3D enthusiast. I collect, do 3D photography, 2D-to-3D photo conversion, and participate in various related Facebook, Yahoo and Flickr groups. I'm admin of the Facebook groups "Stereoscopic 3D", and "Let's Convert 2D Images To 3D".
I'M GETTING HUNGRY JUST LOOKING AT "THE BISTRO"...GOOD PHOTO!
BUT....I'VE DECIDED OF MY OWN ACCORD TO JUST PUT UP 3D PHOTOS ON PHEREO.COM SEE, WHEN ANYONE ORDERS...ORDERS....YOU TO DO SOMETHING....IF YOU DO IT.....THEN THAT PROBABLY WILL ENCOURAGE THAT PERSON TO BELIEVE THEY CAN ORDER YOU AROUND.....AND IF THE PERSON IS RUDE AND DICTATORIAL....THAT BEHAVIOR SHOULD NOT BE ENCOURAGED. OR THAT'S MY BELIEF. SO WHEN YOU MADE AN ORDER "NO 2D AND CRUMMY CONVERSIONS".....I DIDN'T WANT TO REWARD YOU. BUT.......SEE, I THOUGHT THE CONVERSIONS WOULD HAVE BEEN DONE IN A COUPLE OF DAYS...BUT IT'S TAKING A WEEK NOW OR LONGER. THUS I WILL COMPLY WITH YOUR "REQUEST"....SHOULD HAVE BEEN A POLITE REQUEST TO OBTAIN ANY CONSIDERATION OF COMPLIANCE....BUT I'M GOING TO PUT AS "PRIVATE VIEW" ALL OF THE 2D PHOTOS ON PHEREO AWAITING THE 3D CONVERSION. BUT.....YOU CAN NOW RETURN THE FAVOR IF YOU WISH...NOT ORDCERING YOU...ASKING YOU....WOULD YOU CONSIDER NOT...NOT....NOT DENIGRATING ALL...ALL....ALL THE THE WWW.TRUMMY.COM CONVERSIONS TO ME...AND POSSIBLY ON THE 3D GROUP BLOG? IF YOU FIND ONE THAT YOU LIKE....OR THAT IS INTERESTING OR THE SUBJECT IS ATTRACTIVE....COULD YOU PLEASE...PLEASE....INFORM ME ....AND THE 3D GROUP BLOG....WITH SOME POSITIVE REACTION SOMETIME....COULD YOU PLEASE CONSIDER DOING THAT FOR ME IN RETURN? THANKS FOR HELPING ME GET ACROSS THAT THE TRUMMY CONVERSIONS HAVE AN UP AS WELL AS A DOWN SIDE? THANKS VERY MUCH.
Thank you! This is one of my favorites from my last trip. Tucson has very few tall buildings, but is still photogenic from the air because of the beautiful mountains in all four directions, especially The Santa Catalinas North of us, seen here.
Thank you Bernd. All my aerial hypers on Phereo were taken with a Fuji W3, taking the two images one at a time (a method commonly called cha-cha). This is the only way to do it. You cannot use a stereo camera and take the two photos at the same time, or you will not see any depth in the photo at all, since you are too far away. The exception being, if you're flying within clouds and that is your subject, you can, since the clouds are right outside the aircraft. As far as how long to wait between shots, it depends on your elevation. This is something you get a feel for. You get better at it the more you take. I've found that even at the highest elevations, you rarely need to wait more than a second or two. Usually less. When you are closer to the ground, during initial ascent after take-off, or descent during landing, you need to be very quick and snap the two photos within less than a second. In fact, in some cases it is best to hold down the shutter button for a second or so, and use (if your camera has it) the "rapid shutter" or "burst fire" feature, and take several quick shots in a row, from which you can later experiment on which two images produce the best result.
Thanks Darren. Yes, having clouds in an aerial hyper is definitely a plus. Ideally you'd have something interesting on the ground too. In this photo the ground is kind of flat and boring.
Oh, do you mean Chris Schneberger? He's a guy that does 3D "trick" photos for View-Master sets about supernatural phenomenon. He did a set called "A Case for Levitation" all about a fictional girl who could levitate.
I don't know who you mean. You seem to have a tendency to continue conversations under the wrong image or thread, and assume people will know what you're talking about.
Thanks Ted...I'm glad you liked my photo...maybe a leetle "darkish"...do you think? But who is the guy whose name begins with an "S"...some famout guy I suppose??? :o)
I have no interest in allowing trummy to butcher my images. Trummy is crummy. Their conversions are far too simple and crude. To answer your question, I don't even remember the "Monkey Race" game. The games changed over the years. One that I remember always being there, which I loved, was aiming a water gun into a clown head's mouth which inflated a balloon until it popped.
YOU MIGHT TRY WWW.TRUMMY.COM TO COMPARE. $3.00 OR LESS EACH...NOT PERFECT BUT....ANY 3D IS MORE REALISTIC THAN THE 2D....FROM MY EXPERIENCE. GREAT PHOTO...DID YOU BECOME "AN EXPERT" ON THE MONKEY RACE...BY ANY CHANCE? :o) HAVE A SUPER DAY. PS: MAYBE TAKE A LOOK AT MY LATEST "MASTERPIECE"...THE ONE CALLED "MACIAVELLI BY WILLIAM MORTENSEN". WHAT DO YOU THINK...ARE THE GOOD ASPECTS....THANKS?
